Shipping & Returns
At The Mahjong Closet, every order is prepared with care. We want your collection to arrive beautifully and your experience with us to feel seamless from the moment it leaves The Closet.
Shipping
Orders are shipped to eligible U.S. addresses using available carrier services.
Shipping rates and estimated delivery times will be displayed at checkout when applicable.
Once your order has shipped, tracking information will be provided using the contact information associated with your order.
Delivery estimates are not guaranteed and may be affected by carrier delays, weather, holidays, destination, or other circumstances outside our control.
Order Processing
Please allow time for your order to be carefully prepared before shipment.
Limited releases, preorders, personalized items, special collections, and high-demand launches may require additional processing time. Any special timing will be communicated on the applicable product page or order confirmation.
Standard Product Returns
We want you to love what arrives from The Mahjong Closet.
Eligible unused merchandise may be accepted for return within the return window stated at the time of purchase, provided it is:

unused and unplayed

in original condition
-
returned with all original packaging, pieces, accessories, and materials

accompanied by any required proof of purchase or return authorization
Certain items may be final sale, including limited releases, personalized products, used merchandise, gift cards, and other items identified as non-returnable at the time of purchase.
Return shipping charges may apply unless the return is the result of an error by The Mahjong Closet or an eligible defective item.
Damaged or Incorrect Orders
Please inspect your order promptly after delivery.
If your order arrives damaged, defective, incomplete, or incorrect, contact us as soon as possible at hello@themahjongcloset.com with your order information and photographs when applicable.
We will review the issue and provide next steps.
Closet Refresh Returns
Closet Refreshes are part of The Mahjong Closet Society and operate differently from standard product returns.
When completing a Closet Refresh, members return their current eligible collection using the designated Mahjong Closet packaging and return instructions.
When applicable, a prepaid return label will be provided.
Once the returned collection is received and processed, the member's next eligible collection will be prepared for shipment.
Members should retain designated packaging and return materials whenever possible to help protect collections during transit.
Condition of Refresh Collections
Collections returned through the Society should include all components originally included with that member's Refresh EXCEPT the mat. All members may keep the mat they originally recieved.
Depending on membership level, this may include:
The Collection
Tiles
The Reserve
Tiles
The Vault
Tiles + Racks + Dice
Normal wear from appropriate play is expected.
Missing pieces, excessive damage, loss, misuse, or damage beyond normal wear may result in replacement or repair charges in accordance with the current Society Membership Terms.
Vacation Drops
Vacation Drops are shipped to approved U.S. destinations based on eligibility, availability, travel dates, and destination requirements.
Members are responsible for providing accurate destination and travel information and ensuring that the property or destination can safely receive packages.
At the end of the Vacation Drop, the collection must be repacked using the provided materials and returned according to the enclosed instructions.
Vacation Drops do not use Closet Credits and do not count toward annual Closet Refreshes.
Lost, Stolen, or Misdelivered Packages
Once an order is transferred to the shipping carrier, delivery is subject to the carrier's handling and tracking process.
If your tracking shows an issue, contact the carrier and hello@themahjongcloset.com so we can help review the situation.
The Mahjong Closet is not responsible for packages delivered to an incorrectly entered address, but we will assist where reasonably possible.
Refunds
Approved refunds will generally be issued to the original payment method.
Processing times may vary depending on your financial institution.
Original shipping charges, expedited shipping charges, and other non-refundable fees may not be returned unless required by law or the return resulted from an error by The Mahjong Closet.
